Scripture: Isaiah 55:10 (CEB) 10 Just as the rain and the snow come down from the sky and don’t return there without watering the earth, making it conceive and yield plants and providing seed to the sower and food to the eater,
Reflection and Question(s): Today’s scripture reminds us that everything happens naturally for a reason. Rain, snow and ice can truly be a nuisance at times, but we must remember that it doesn’t return to heaven, the ground absorbs it, so the circle of life may continue. We should be pouring our lives out for the needs of others through love and service. What can you do starting today to pour what God has gifted you with? Volunteering your time at the food pantry, teaching at school or prison, starting a non-profit, volunteering at the Red Cross, etc. are just a few examples of ways you can use your life for the transformation of the world? Let me encourage you to live an other-centered life, and in return you will have lived the very best lift imaginable here on earth. What you poured out will be absorbed by the souls of those you touched, so the circle of life may continue.
Prayer: Lord of all creation, everything you created was created for a reason, and for many reasons that I don’t understand, like catastrophic weather, mosquitoes, ticks, spiders, etc. Please allow my life to poured out for the lives of others, through the Holy Spirit working through me for the transformation of the world. Thy will not mine be done. In Your name I pray these things. Amen.
